TAYLOR TEAM DFW & THANKSGIVING HEROES
Lance Taylor, team owner of Taylor Team DFW - Keller Williams Legacy, started the Dallas chapter of Thanksgiving's Heroes in 2020 after meeting Rob Adams and being inspired by his eagerness to help the community.
Since 2020, Lance has gathered people in Collin County, Denton County, Tarrant County, and Dallas County to rally behind the efforts to battle food insecurity in the area. Each year, the number of families we are able to feed grows as we have created a wonderful tradition that continues to give back. Our hope is to one year be able to feed families not only on Thanksgiving, but to be able to provide resources for families who battle with food insecurity at other times of the year.
THE FOUNDER
As a young boy growing up in South Texas, Thanksgiving’s Heroes, LLC founder, Rob Adams was the oldest child in a family of six.
Life in poverty was a challenge for Adams and his family. He had two outfits, one for church and one for school. The family lived together in their pickup truck. Once every few weeks, they would go stay at a motel for a day, taking advantage of the opportunity to get what little clothing they had cleaned. Every year, millions of school children in America rely on public schools to be able to eat lunch. For many of these children, this lunch is their only guaranteed meal of the day. Adams himself was one of these children.
The roots of Thanksgiving’s Heroes are firmly grown from his experiences as a child.
